CITANN ENGINEERS make Lifting Magnet transports steel scrap in scrap processing yards, steel industries and foundries. It can handle tons of scrap continuously throughout the day. These Magnets are used to charge the furnace directly and also used for loading and unloading of steel scrap, steel tuning, Billets, booms, pig iron, etc, from trucks.
The circular lifting magnet typically consists of a casted low carbon steel body enclosing a heavy duty electromagnetic coil and operated by a separate control panel. Heat treated fully annealed along with center pole, integrated outer pole, terminal box, and extra heavy duty lifting lugs constitute parts of the unit. It is of sturdy construction and equipped with bottom bumper plate of S.S. 304/Manganese plate to withstand the great impact caused by the tough job pieces. Suitable chains or turnbuckle wire ropes are provided for mounting the lifting magnet to a crane or hoist.
Rectified D.C. Voltage of 220 Volts D.C. is fed to the coils. This will be made available from a mains of 415/440 V, 3 ph, 50 Hz. A.C. through a transformer, rectifier housed in a Control Panel.
